
From September 2011 our permanent Musical Director is David
Gould.
David was a choral scholar at
St. John's College, Cambridge, and was a member of Westminster Cathedral choir from 1993 until 1998.
He is an experienced
consort and choral singer, appearing regularly with many leading choirs and ensembles, including the Cardinall's Musick,
Hilliard Ensemble and the Tallis Scholars.
With the Hilliard Ensemble, he has sung in over 30 concerts in locations
from Sicily to Edinburgh, featuring the music of Gesualdo, Machaut, Morales, Monteverdi, Bach and many others.
He is
a regular member of the Cardinall's Musick and appears on almost all of their CD releases, including their ongoing series
of the complete choral works of William Byrd.
As a soloist, he appears regularly with choral societies and other choirs.
He also gives solo recitals featuring the music of Purcell, Handel, Byrd and Dowland.
From 1999 until 2004 he was the
conductor of The Stanmore Choral Society, and between 2009 and 2010 was guest conductor for Sine Nomine Singers in Hillingdon.
In addition to his musical activities, he works part time as a computer programmer.
David lives in Pinner with
his wife and their two daughters.
